Adrian Miller is a food writer, James Beard Award winner, recovering attorney, and certified barbecue judge who lives in Denver, Colorado.</image:caption>

The son of an American woman (of Dutch heritage) and a Navajo man, he teaches with insight into the complexities of American history regarding race, culture, and faith in order to help forge a path of healing and conciliation for the nation. He is one of the leading authorities on the 15th-century’s Doctrine of Discovery and its influence on US history and its intersection with modern-day society. He pastored in Denver for two years. Mark co-authored, along with Soong-Chan Rah, the book entitled “Unsettling Truths: The Ongoing, Dehumanizing Legacy of the Doctrine of Discovery”.</image:caption>

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in African/African American Studies from Metro State College (University) of Denver, and a Master’s Degree in Humanities, focus in Public History and Museum Studies, from the University of Colorado Denver.  She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Aurora, CO chapter.   Terri recently began working at History Colorado, as Engagement Manager for Black Communities. Terri is a Volunteer Docent and on the board of directors at the Black American West Museum &amp; Heritage Center.  She conducts museum tours, the Five Points Walking Tour, and facilitates presentations about Black Americans in the West, and other topics to schools, community and government agencies, and businesses throughout the Denver Metro area, and Front Range communities.</image:caption>
